Music is spiritual. Sometimes the artist is simply a vessel for that spirit. A song can heal us, save us, comfort us, define an era of our lives — even if the person who created it was flawed, selfish, troubled, or even harmful.

That does not mean celebrities shouldn’t be held accountable for their actions. They absolutely should. Fame comes with influence, and influence comes with responsibility. Whether we like it or not, artists often become role models because they are loved, admired, and celebrated.

But being famous does not make someone less human.

And to err is human.

Sometimes… just being an ass is human too. 🤷🏽‍♀️
